Amazing Stop on my journey to burano !! One of my favourite stops of the entire trip to Venetto area..
Lydia and her son provided fantastic service Not only friendly but really helped understand the lacemaking craft here. They took the time to help me look through various price and style options so I can make the perfect selection for my table cloth.
I was not aware I would be buying a tablecloth going into this but with all of the appreciation I gained for the time and effort and skill I am happy to be a proud owner of a very beautiful piece of work.
The museum portion had so many different works it is definitely worth a stop to walk through and just enjoy.

definitely do not walk by this place Without going in! Go in, spend some time , have a discussion , and enjoy the beautiful lace works.

Paola, her son, Davide, and Alessia are simply the best people. The lace is just outstanding. The people are even better.

They Have a museum as well with lace that was made for Napoleon. The store is a store and a museum with examples the history of lace on the walls. They are framed and they will give you a tour and tell you about it. It is simply outstanding and Paola and her talent is incomparable. God gave her a gift and she is using it. Such a wonderful woman.

The Matriarch running this family store - now five generations - is a remarkable energetic elderly lady. Her passion, knowledge, and creativity is simply fabulous. She shares her expertise with you to the extent you wish to learn. One can see how the different laces are made, and there is a museum collection to gain knowledge over lace history for hundreds of years.
Their lace products from young children’s clothes to place mats are beautifully hand-embroidered. If you enjoy meeting wonderful and kind people that love what they do, then this store will put a big smile on your face and make your day great!

It was an absolute pleasure meeting Nora and her explanation of lace from different countries was divine.
I was particularly interested in the two handkerchiefs that belonged to Napoleon.
There was a lady demonstrating how they make lace and it was just awesome to watch her.
We bought a table cloth and napkins but there is so much variety in the shop.
Nora was so helpful throughout our visit and she gave us advice as to what to do on the island. Thank you so much Nora.

This is a hidden gem. Although a for profit business , they are also trying to and preserve the art of air stitch. I am hoping that I am not messing up the concept too much but is is something that has being done for centuries ( their in-house museum is a must see) and a technique that must be preserved for future generations. There is beautiful new and old work that I hope people come to see. I also hope that UNESCO recognizes this art soon.

The craftwork is amazing, but the range isn’t as big as Martina Vidal. But this place had some unique pieces such as famous artwork recreated in lace. They had a last supper lace on display, which apparently took over a year to complete. This itself is worth looking at. The museum upstairs and out the back is an eye opener too.

A store specializing in only lace made right there while you watch. Demostrations and museum pieces all in the same place.

This is the most wonderful lace shop in Burano. The lace they carry is amazing and the quality is second to none. The prices are very reasonable also.

Absolutely fascinating. Watching the elderly lady making lace was a must see experience. Hopefully these skills will be passed on toyounger generations. Nice display of historical items in the shop. Bought some handkerchiefs as presents. Definitely recommend.
