In our 4-day trip to Venice, we decided to spent an evening at Burano island (and not Murano). It is a colorful place (each house has necessarily a different color) famous for lace (many touristic shops to buy). It is easily walked up and down,...More

went on a water taxi to Burano for a visit. The place was very busy with tourists coming and going.Lovely colours of houses [Italian version of Scottish Balimory]and plenty of small streets with canals too and two water ambulances berthed.Would recommend if you have time.

Decided to visit Burano and so glad we did. What an absolute charming and wonderful Island. A fantastic way to spend the day and so nice to wander around and soak up the atmosphere.

Just take the Vaporetto from Murano which will take about 40 mins (covered with the travel card if you have bought that). Have a great stroll through this cute and colourful place.

What a lovely place to visit, even for me who has no great liking for a lace museum! House colours are bold and bright while the people are really friendly on the island. Only downside were some of the other tourist behaviours which I found...More

The rainbow of colours that are painted on the houses provide a vivid and eye watering attack on your visual senses but it is more than just a canvass of colour! This is a calm haven and respite away from the swathe of tourists that...More

U will need to check with your hotel for all the local tours. It's best to do the morning tour as early as u can. It gets hot in the afternoon n the queue gets longer. Start your tour at 9 am sharp is u can.
