The castle of Crailsheim has been built around the 1600. It is a two floor building with saddle roof with volute gables and a big stairway. It was built for the barons of Crailsheim. The castle gate is decorated with two lions from the 18th century. The wine cooperative bought the castle with its outbuildings in 1954. Today you can buy wine in a gallery. I personally think this is the only point to come to this place. Only the visit of the building the trip is not worth it.

A very nice decorated "Winzerschlussel" where they sell a variety of local (excellent) wines. A decent and friendly staff. A good place for wine tasting and buying!

Even though I can only click on Dec.the market is usually the end of November

Rödelsee Castle. Crailsheimer Castle was built in 1614 and was residence of branches of the genus of Crailsheim. A simple two-storey building, two 18th century Lions laterally decorate the main gate with wall decorations. In 1954 the castle was bought by a Winemaking cooperative. Since then, the excellent cellar is used for expansion and storage of the tasty Rödelsee wines. An the courtyard a historic wine press from 1660.
