About
The Argosy is a unique and ever-evolving space, showcasing local west coast art, fine vintage and antique furniture, and that unusual treasure you won't come across anywhere else. We generally find our vintage pieces at estate sales and auctions, but always keep our eyes open for special items close to home as well.

The Argosy is a true Prince Rupert treasure. It is a small and modest shop with a lot of history behind its doors. As you enter, you’ll be greeted by pleasant staff who clearly love what they do. They’re always ready and willing to help as you navigate through the myriad of unique, vintage and antique treasures found within the store. Indeed, the beauty of The Argosy is it’s never the same; it is an ever evolving space and, as such, the stock is always changing, with new items brought in all the time. If you want to find something truly unique – something you likely won’t find anywhere else in Prince Rupert – then come here.

I’ve visited The Argosy a few times over the last couple of years. I really should go more often but, the trouble is, I’ve never left empty-handed. There’s always something unique that catches my eye . . . and then I spot something else . . . and then yet another item and the cycle continues! But I guess the fact that I find something – every time – is a good thing otherwise I probably wouldn’t return. The shop truly is unique. I was able to find some great gifts for people I care about and, as an added bonus, everything was priced very fairly. There’s no gouging going on here.

It is no wonder The Argosy won business of the year (2017-2018). They’ve been able to infuse something unique and special into the Prince Rupert community. When you enjoy what you do it shows, as it does in this fabulous antique store. I’ve been able to find some great things here at reasonable prices. If you visit (and you should), I suspect you’ll also find a treasure to take home! Highly recommended!

My goodness, thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are so happy that you enjoy your visits to the Argosy and we are so pleased that you find our prices reasonable and our inventory interesting. We were incredibly proud to win the Business of the Year award from the Prince Rupert Chamber and we intend to continue to strive to that high level going forward. Thank you very much again! Regards, Frances & Richard

Stopped in here to check them out... had heard of them from other people and wanted to how they were.
Great quirky staff and store... their pricing is well done, not very over the top at all.
Ended up with some rollin pins and nice vintage shovel/pick.
Cheers for showing me a great little shop.
Definitely will stop in again.

Stopped in yesterday (off of a boat) & found some lovely gifts & fun collectibles. I think my friends will enjoy these when I give them vintage "sleeping babies", tea towels from the HMS Queen Mary, and a cool Asian bell (cow bell? Wind chime?)

Much more varied in items than many gift stores. Friendly & helpful staff.

My wife and I had time to kill because we arrived in Prince Rupert a day early to catch the ferry. We stumbled upon this little shop while out for a walk. They have a wide variety of antiques and collectables. The prices are extremely fair and reasonable. If you don't see something you're looking for in particular, ask. They may just have it in the back room and not on display.
