We had activities planned throughout our trip except for one day where a google search gave us Tunnel Mountain. It took us about an hour and 10 minutes to get to the top and about 50 minutes to get down. We stopped a few times...More

I went to there as our spare time. I mean, even if you really didn't plan to go there, you could do hiking there. its not hard hiking but view of the top is kind of same as hard hiking.

It's just a beautiful, fun walk, not to be missed if you have a little bit of time while in Banff. The main trailhead parking area is just before you get to the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity on St. Julien Road. We think...More

Tunnel Mountain is right over Banff and provides beatific views of the town and of Mount Rundle (from the other side). The hike is short and is definitely worth the effort. I recommend the you get there during the morning or mid-day, I was there...More

This trail offers some excellent hiking and views of Banff, but don't go here if you want to be alone with nature. I've hiked it twice in the past three years and each time it was pretty crowded.

Easily accessible and mildly challenging trail/hike up tunnel mountain within the town of Banff. Very enjoyable hike that offered many excellent views of Banff and the surrounding valley and mountains from various points along the trail. Be prepared to take a series of brief breaks...More

If you are used to hiking with a baby on your back then you will be fine. It is steep in places and ascends in a zigzag. We did meet a couple of unfit people who didn't quite make it but if you can take your time the views... More

For Tunnel Mountain Trail, the likelihood of a bear encounter is low, not impossible, but low. We have bear spray always with us, but always rely on our own noise (chatter, and just calling out frequently) to alert all... More

Hi It depends on the weather. Assuming there is no snow- it is possible. But I can't say it is going to be easy. Enjoy it
