Gorgeous, stunning. So much beauty and while we visited in June (low season) there were quite a few locals spending the day YET this lagoon is so large it did not feel crowded whatsoever. A little more expensive than a cenote visit ($300 pesos) but worth every penny. A local friend of mine came with us and shared all money from this lagoon goes towards the Mayan family that cares for it, to the natural reserve around it, etc. Must must go. See a cenote first and then finish off with the lagoon. Swings nearby, places to set your bags down in the covered shade, have a fresh coconut, swim in the stunning waters. Beautiful beautiful!! Close to Aldea Zama & downtown Tulum too (15min).

This place is a must visit. 300 pesos each and worth it so much more than the cenotes.
This place is stunning. So beautiful, not so busy and such a nice chilled vibe.
I’d recommend taking some snacks and drinks and a book and spending a few hours here relaxing.

We got there at 8:55 (opens at 9:00), and was one of the first people in which made a huge difference. It was beautiful, and very peaceful…until everyone else arrived (around 10:00) then it’s a bit tourist central.

There are lots of rules, a couple being, you must shower on entry and you are not allowed to wear suncream, this is policed well. So if you have unforgiving skin, all the more the reason to arrival early.

This is the best water in Tulum, it's the clearest and calmest by a mile.

There is a 300 peso entrance fee per person, but it's worth every penny to see these lovely waters.

Kaan Luum is about 8 miles from Tulum. The cost of a taxi from Tulum is about 200 pesos (£8). We got a taxi from Playa Paraiso to here for 300 pesos (£12).
Try to make sure you have a taxi organised back to Tulum as it saves any worry. If you don't organise a return, there are taxis frequenting this place, and you could strike a deal with one of the drivers to get to your destination. Failing that, there is a main road nearby on which taxis travel frequently, and you can easily flag one from there to get to your destination.

The water here is shallow and perfect for kids and non swimmers.
There are also swings and hammocks for those all important social media shots!

Try and get here as early as possible as it will get a little busy. The Laguna is almost like a secret of the locals, there are very few non Mexicans here. The atmosphere is excellent and nobody is troubling you. There is no crazy loud music and there's no vendors hassling you

No sunscreen is allowed, unless it's biodegradable, i believe it's something to do with the roped off cenote nearby. This, i believe, is only accessible to divers.

Bring you own food and drinks if you can, as availability is limited. It's the perfect place for a picnic.

This place is so relaxing and such a great price, only $300MXN for admission and parking. If you can't swim, don't worry because many parts of this lagoon are pretty shallow. You can't swim over the sinkhole part of it (for everyone's safety) and is blocked off for only scuba divers, but it is still very cool to see. There are hammocks and swings for amazing pictures, despite it not being a popular tourist attraction. Many locals come here and you can buy drinks, or even bring your own snacks. This place is a MUST if you're in Tulum.

Nice place to spend the day.
Costs 300 pesos per person (not 100 pesos as I read in some reviews!).
I honestly expected a better infrastructure for such price.
You can’t wear sunscreen (understandable as it’s a Cenote) - but I expected more spots with shades available to the public. If you go on the weekend and spend a few hours there - you will get sun burned!

Beautiful and relaxing within 5 tp 7 miles from Tulum. Love the palapas, views, piers, coconuts, and coco preparados.

Great to spend a half day / day for solo, fam and group travel!
