About
This calm and relaxing lagoon is a well-kept secret among the locals and is known to have some of the best waters in Yucatan. Here, you can swim in its turquoise waters (though the deep central cenote is off-limits!), enjoy the views from the wooden pier, chill out in the hammocks above the water, or have some fun on the swings. There are also locals selling fresh coconuts. Just 15 minutes by car from downtown Tulum, Laguna Kaan Luum makes for a great day trip. It's often included as a stop on tours of Tulum, along with other cenotes and beaches. – Tripadvisor

    Beautiful experience
Beautiful, clear blue water. Water is warm and does get deep in spots but is fairly shallow at first, which would be great for kids. No beach or chairs available. Many areas for taking great photos. Not a lot of shaded seating available. Take the steps to the overlook for an amazing view. A nice way to spend the afternoon.

    Paradise on earth
This is a hidden gem place to visit. It's not very popular and that's why you can see a lot of locals there instead of tourists. There is plenty of space before the lake to park your car. The water is clear green and shallow, only in the middle of the lake the water is deep. But you need special equipment and diving certificate to swim in the middle of the lake beyond the borders. There are tents and benches you can use free of charge to take a seat and enjoy the view.

Great relaxing for a couple of hours.
Great relaxing experience. We spent a couple of hours just swimming and taking some nice pictures. You cannot apply sunscreen on site so be careful about sunburn. There are no dinning options, just some sodas, beer and coconuts.

I visited the lagoon at 10:00 am and it was quite empty. I was expecting this pretty blue/green magical lagoon however it was just green, murky, and swamp like. A random tour guide there told me that due to the current rainy season (December), the color and appearance of the lagoon is green and not clear compared to other times of the year. I waded around a bit and laid out in the sun to dry off. The fee of 300 pesos was not worth it in my opinion. It was just okay.

It was a nice experience…fresh water lake with a very deep cave-like center. The water was warm with a white sand bottom.

Beautiful views, lay in the hammocks for a while, swim near the giant hole, see the fish and relax on one of the swings. Breathtaking views from the balcony up top, be sure to get photos from up there. There were a few locals there, but plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the lagoon peacefully.

Just an amazing blue perfectly circular lagoon, very peaceful with nice shooting points, piers, hammocks and toilets to change clothes.

A stunning location
Not too many people there, unlike anywhere I have been before the water was so clear

Nature in all its splendor… the colours are exactly as you see them on the pictures: the phenomon of 2 cenotes in one laguna creates and interesting play of colours! The place is popular and therefore more expensive (300 pesos pp) than other cenotes but you could linger here for a full day if you want! It can get busy which means not a lot of places in the shadow. We arrived towards the end and could enjoy the beauty without the crowds. Drones are allowed (at 150 pesos)
