This beach is worth a visit on a day trip but not much more. It has a wide sweep of white sand on it's seaweed strewn beach. The water isn't bad but can be a bit choppy.
You can still have a nice day out here, but i would advise people to head for Laguna Kaan Luum for shallower, prettier, swimmable waters with far fewer people.

If you look out at the water instead of the development behind you this place is breathtaking. Such amazing colors!

See it while you can. This used to be something truly spectacular and development takes it away bit by bit. I don't know what we're going to hand down to the next generation but nothing too great. This is still a wonder to see and unlike all of the fake spiritual garbage floating around in Tulum now marketing to Californians or whatever, sitting here for an afternoon with some water and and sandwich and letting that blue color seep into your brain can actually heal you at least for a day and it won't cost you anything.

Beautiful beach with many services at proximity. We traveled in September so there were many seaweeds at the border of the water and sand, but the beach is cleaned and the water is easily accessible. You can reach this area by car, motorcycle or bike. The sand is white and very soft!

During this time of the year, the beach looks like absolute sh*t. There is plenty of seaweed lying around the shore stacked to heaps, which easily reach a meter in height. It also smells like rotten eggs. Right at the shore, it’s forbidden to swim, but you wouldn’t go in anyway because the water is a brown sauce. There are plenty of small boats, which take you a few hundred meters away from the coast where the water is blue and clear.

Shockingly disgusting, covered in enormous mounds of red algae smelling strongly of rotten eggs. There was so much it turned the water red and sludgy, and small bulldozers are being used to move it away into large mounds.
I'm sure it's nicer during other times of the year, but this was horrifying, and has completely ruined our trip, since all of the nearby beaches are in the same sorry state.

Has beautiful sand but it isn't the "palm fringed" beach I expected. Difficult to get to but all of the public beaches in the area are: you have to travel down a narrow road with close vegetations...often only one car each way. If you drive go to the end of the road then u-turn and park on the side of the road. I didn't find it easy to find which beach was which. I know it is one of the first ones. My second trip I decided to just park at a beach club but the ones i found didnt open 'til 10
There are some palm trees that provide some shade but get there early. I thought I saw a sign that said no coolers but everyone had one. The seaweed barrier didnt extend to where I was sitting but the city did a great job cleaning up the beach early in the morning.
Overall it was nice, though. Again, beautiful sand and clean beach.
