This experience was very interesting, and one from which you can learn a lot. The Huron people and their history is very informative and this is a great place to learn about them.

Went on Sunday 15th as part of a Cross Canada trip. Drove out from central Quebec on a Sunday morning, through a suburb into the start of a farming area. Entered as a group just as the venue opened, and because we had to wait for the English tour to begin we wandered around including visiting the gift shop. The guide was incredibly enthusiastic in telling us about her heritage and seemed absolutely genuine. She knew her stuff and made the various buildings and features come alive. We didn’t stop for the dance feature (extra cost) and found the items in the shop very expensive.

We ate in the main restaurant area - Sunflower soup, bison sausages/fish cakes; maple cake – basic but not unpleasant. Lots to drink - our guide made the mistake of saying we were in a hurry - plates were removed before we had finished.

Me and my husband found this tour to be very interesting. Our tour guide was very informative. We saw how the huron indians lived in their community. From the hut that smoked their fish to get them through the winter... the Medicine room. Saw a performance where they danced to the gods. The guide provided a lot of information which kept our interest They have a very nice large gift shop.

What a great way to learn the history of the Huron people. We had a great tour of the facility. It is well worth the short drive out of Quebec City.

We emailed ahead of time to find out when English tours would take place and when they offered their Tales and Legends Tour. They responded quickly that they offer English tours every 30-45 minutes. They also explicitly stated that they offer the Tales and Legends Tour by request and "on the spot." So, we drove about 30 minutes out of our way. When we arrived, they told us we'd have to wait 1.5 hours for an English tour and that they wouldn't offer the Tales and Legends Tour until then. When I showed them my email, they essentially said it's too bad because they had a lot of tour groups and a guide was sick today. They also said the email that said "on the spot" may have been a misunderstanding between English and French. No effort was made to help accommodate us, despite the fact that they had emailed us details that this would work the day before. This was very disappointing as we were all very much looking forward to this visit.

We took a group of teenagers on a tour of this site. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. It was interesting to learn how the Huron lived before Europeans ruined the area.

Came to this location today with a group. This is located right outside Quebec City and demonstrates really well how the native use to live a few hundred years ago. Our tour guide, Camille, did a fantastic job.

I would strongly recommend anyone coming to visit here. Definately worth the visit.

This Aboriginal experience is great for people who want to learn more about indigenous culture. An authentic tour by the Wendake peoples. The site is very well maintained, and the guided tour is packed with information about the history of the peoples and the land. The costs are fair and so are the meals, which are authentic and include the delicacies of the Wendakes, very delightful and tasty. The tour through the village is a historical site that you must see. I highly recommend this trip to people who want to learn more about the historical background of the area.
