It's an amazing part of the Providenciales island surrounded only by residential and some commercial buildings, no resorts here except for some rentals - this is an area to absorb the peace and tranquility - very special place. TIP: if you are in the area...More

Absolutely stunning to see but very difficult to get in. All of the homes have taken away any access. We heard after our visit that there's a restaurant bistro across the streer from sapodilla bay with kayaks. We drove all the way to the end...More

We took vespas to get here. A great way to see the entire island. You will be blown away at the sights.

There so many tiny island and cays in TCI. Chalk sound has many you can pull a boat up to and hang out on feeling like your own private island. The sound is shallow so its perfect for a nice speed boat to glide over....More

Water is very shallow, can walk way out and only a few feet deep. We parked near an empty lot and walked over and enjoy the area

My wife and I visited this beach and we were just in awe. Very calm and shallow beach. Ideal for small children. The water color just takes your breath away. One of the best beaches in the world. It's definitely worth a trip.

Worth the short drive to see this area. The water is very nice. Shallow bay with great views. A couple of nice restaurants in the area.

A remote local with breath taking views and stunning waters. Our first time to Chalk Sound and once you see it you will fall in love. A beautiful location for kayaking (didn't see too much for snorkelling) a wonderful spot to check out if you've...More

My teens enjoyed kayaking around Chalk Sound, exploring the little islands with iguanas. We had a fabulous day exploring and taking in the beautiful scenery. Definitely a must see.

Take a leisurely dive through the Chalk Sound area to experience striking views, milky blue waters intermingled with shades of turquoise, green cays of various sizes and shapes and a striking assortment of architecture in the homes lining both sides of the road. Keep your...More

Since this is where you reside you probably know the areas well....considering renting a villa for 8 adults and 3 children and have options of Chalk Sound (which seems to have the nicest views and calmness winds?), Leeward and Iron shore (Alta Bella)..would like to be able to snorkel and kayak from property and have a beach where the little guys can play...we like to visit other areas and will have two cars but would be nice to be somewhat close to restaurants or bar where older ones can go after dinner ..doesn't look like Grace Bay is good for kayaking but I am not the expert....did a pool/beachfront in Cayman with a coffeehouse down the road...this worked well for us...also, looks like Sapodilla is across the road from Chalk Sound...feasible to kayak from Chalk Sound to there? Lots of questions but TA has slew helped me in planning past trips...any information appreciated!

Although there are cabs available on TCI, we were warned that their rates were so prohibitive that car rental would be the preferable option. So, after deplaning, we obtained a car from Avis and learned to drive on the Left... More

I wouldn't say it's less breezy on Chalk Sound. We spent a lot of time on Taylor Bay Beach which is close to Sopadilla Bay. When we were there last month it was just as breezy on Taylor Bay as it was on Chalk Sound.
