I love everything about this Excursion but wish I had more interaction with the sharks. If you box you won’t be disappointed.

It was great although I felt that the snorkeling was rushed, especially with the sting ray and sharks which was meant to be the biggest attraction. More time was needed to explore the reefs and less time (20-30min) of just lounging in a semi shallow part of the ocean.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this tour. The snorkelling lasted around 30 minutes out of a three hour cruise. No jumping or diving off the boat is permitted which would have been fine except for the fact that all the staff jumped and dived off the boat whilst the customers were not allowed... All customers have to wear a mandatory life vest, even though a disclaimer was signed. The life vest itself has warnings to say it is not a floatation device and is made out of cancer causing materials. This is probably why the staff themselves do not wear them. I was also disgusted that the staff were standing on the coral during the experience and kicking the reef with their flippers (again only the staff are allowed flippers). One of the staff also moved about the reef at high speeds in a speedboat causing unnecessary waves and damage to the reef. Complete lack of respect for the natural environment. The aquarium enclosure was far too small for the number of sharks and sting rays. There is also an option to pick up a stingray which we avoided as they clearly don't enjoy being handled. We then went to the natural pool, which is actually just a shallow part of the shore which you can access from the beach. So if you are staying in a beach resort in Punta Cana, I would suggest this doesn't really add anything as the water was much less clean than where we were staying. A sandwich was provided with leftovers fed to the fish. There were a number of alcoholic drinks served and the music was turned right up to the point that you couldn't speak to anyone. If you're looking for a party boat then maybe this could be a good option for you. The tour lasted three hours and despite the venue only being 30 minutes away from our hotel, the whole excursion lasted 7 hours due to the large amounts of faff and waiting around.

We had great guides for this experience. They were very friendly and helpful with younger swimmers who were skeptical and/or anxiety ridden w/ the environment they were in. That said, I'd agree w/ some other reviews that the actual snorkeling aspect of this was okay at best. There's not enough marine life to be experienced for price paid. While we did see rays and nurse shark, the overall SNORKELING experience was underwhelming. You spent more time looking for things than actually seeing them. More space and variety of species would have made this a better experience for sure. The “natural pool” we stopped at was just shallow area with good (not great) water. It was clear, but again, not the turquoise waters everyone loves. The DR is more vegetative so that’s probably why, but for me, the “natural pool” isn’t a selling point. Return transfer process was very simple – find your hotel, get in the van. Would I do it again? No. I’d want to see if I could find another option that might provide more of the snorkeling experience we would be looking for ... but maybe that's just not what the DR is knowns for.

Very limited snorkeling. The staff was friendly but did not give good instructions to the passengers before snorkeling. The life vest provided for adults were just floating belts that were flimsy. The food provided was small ham and cheese sandwiches and small bits of fruit that had clearly been sitting in the sun for hours. The pool at the end is just a shallow part of the ocean by the shore that could easily be experienced near any resort. The gift shop had a very limited selection and was more over priced than other gift shops in Punta Cana, including the one in our resort. The staff was very nice but we would not do the trip again.
