Our son visited the Island a few years ago and highly recommended it to us. We finally made it there and spent twelve days roaming around hanging out with locals. The island is very friendly and if you stay more than a few days you will make lots of Nico friends. The entire island has a laid back atmosphere set against stunning beauty and gorgeous beaches. We enjoyed the towns as much as the more rural areas. We hiked to the top of a volcano, soaked in a beautiful mineral pool and walked beautiful beaches. You can see why we think it’s a little corner of paradise!Would love to go back and spend more time.…

We were there for 4 days but could have stayed longer, what a magical place this remote island is! The ferry ride is and adventure itself!

You can't really say you have visited Nicaragua without going to ometepe. I went to cascada san Ramón and hiked volcano Concepción. I think that three nights and three days is the ideal, or more if you like a more relaxing, laid-back lifestyle.

Beautiful island with its own volcanoes Roads quite than most places,so good for cycling. Don't miss the natural spring pool. Lovely place to cool off.
