Figured this wouldn’t be too difficult at 2.7 miles each way so we set out. The terrain is very rocky so definitely have trekking poles and wear shoes with good traction. Finally reaching the falls is gorgeous well worth the trip. We even experienced a...More

An easy to mid-moderate level hike with beautiful views and great trails. I cannot stress enough that comfortable shoes with good traction is needed and always check the local water, I was lucky enough to hike early and to sit and relax, enjoying some snacks...More

My brother and I have hiked this trail many times. We are in decent shape and hike frequently. Between trailhead and falls, Rainbow Falls Trail gains about 1,500' in elevation. The 5.4 mile roundtrip hike is rated moderate in difficulty however for the average person...More

Rainbow falls trail is not a "moderate" trail as it's rated. Rated at 8.77 it's a lot more strenuous than "moderate". Had a good time, but a tough trail for a 1st time hiker.

Great hike...GPS said 5.6 miles round trip....the 1st half was uphill...the uphill is strenuous but not difficult...the waterfall was beautiful probably the best in the park...definitely worth the 4 hours to hike up, pause and take a moment to take in Rainbow Falls, and then...More

This was definitely a tough hike but very pretty scenery. The falls were well worth it. Would recommend for sure.

This trail starts out along a creek but then diverges into the forest with lots of switchbacks. I was just there about 3 or 4 months ago and it was our 2nd time to the falls. The first time we took the hike our youngest... More
