There is plenty of parking at this trail access. The trail here consists of the Newfound Gap trailhead and the AT trailhead. The Newfound Gap trailhead leads to Clingmans Dome. The AT trailhead is 1000+ miles which lead to Maine.

The drive on Newfound Gap Road is an amazing adventure with breathtaking views around every bend. There are plenty of wonderful places to pull off for hiking, picnics, photo opportunities or just to simply soak in all of God's natural splendor.

Well worth the drive. The views along the way as well as at the top are fantastic. Never a bad view anywhere in the park.
