This is a very enjoyable driving road. Beautiful view. And a lot of beautiful spots which you can stop by. Open the car windows, breathe in the mountain air.

This road thru the Smokies has amazing views. We always take our time and breathe in the mountain air. We even went back at night to look at the stars without all of the city lights.

I'm grateful for pullovers to allow faster vehicles to pass. We enjoy taking our time enjoying the views, either along Newfound Gap, Clingman's Dome or either entrance. It is a wonderful ride with fresh air and the occasional wildlife. If you're lucky, you'll spy some...More

This was an absolutely gorgeous drive! Well worth the hour it takes and gives you a beautiful view of a large part of the park. There are some great photo stops as well!

Sorry,no information on walking groups. I would check at the welcoming centers in the Great Smokey parks.

No only you can pull and hike but there is some overnight parking available too so that you can camp to see some exotics early morning scenery and animals.
