We stumbled on this hike and decided to do it. We are so glad we did. I would rate it moderate difficulty due to the steep hills. This is "off the beaten path" which we loved. We were able to enjoy the falls without anyone...More

Beautiful trail off the Roaring Fork Rd. Most people drive by this trail without a second thought and they are really missing out. The trail is maybe a little more strenuous than most guide books claim but still not too rough. Take your time to...More

We hit this trail at about 8:30 am. We were the first people out for the day. The trail goes through a burn area from the fall of 2016. Seeing the 'regrowth ' was very interesting. The last half mile of the trail losses about...More

Much of this trail winds thru hills that were burned in the fire of 2016 making this a beautiful, yet surreal hike. New greenery is pushing its way up thru the ashes and wildlife is returning to the area. Baskins Falls are quite nice though...More

We took our 3 year old on this hike. It is more on the strenuous side with the elevation changes but it was worth it in the end. The last little bit was alittle tricky but nothing too bad. Good waterfall to hike and eat...More

This hike is more strenuous than advertised! You go down hill for a good bit to reach the waterfall, and of course if you go down you must go up. We did check out the cemetery on the way which I recommend, it is fairly...More

This hike had a very cool waterfall! You could even climb up and stand by the waterfall. It is 3 miles and took our family about 3 hours to finish it. The trail description said easy, but it was fairly challenging. The hike is uphill...More

Little strenuous as there is a lot of uphill coming back but well worth it. My 9 year old daughter made it with little difficulty. The path off to the cemetery is worth the extra work and the waterfall is beautiful.

Very close to Gatlinburg, not very popular, but fun, wooded trail with challenging inclines. Changes in the difficulty level of the trail allows for nice change of pace during the hike. Surface rather rough, full of roots, rocks, etc. Good pair of hiking boots will...More

In Gatlinburg turn on airport road at the space needle. Stay straight until you hit the one way roaring 🍴 motor trail, which essentially makes a horseshoe shaped drive. There are two trailheads for the Baskin creek falls... More
