Laurel Falls was one of the highlights of our trip. It’s a fairly easy hike as far as mountain hiking is concerned. The trail is paved, but is pretty rough and deteriorated in quite a few places. Our group ranged from senior citizens to a...More

Facts: -it’s paved -it’s popular -it’s 1.3 miles Comments: While it is paved, it can be narrow and bumpy at places so don’t count on a stroller for pushing kids up. It is also steep and tough for small hikers to keep up. Because it’s...More

Beaytiful, beautiful falls and views, but man, it is uphill the entire 1.3 miles and our kids were exhausted and hot. It took us 1 hour to get to the falls, 35 minutes back. The falls were sooooo crowded....you could barely get in a photo....More

First, let me say...this is not a hike for small children. If you love them? Don't take them on this hike. The walking paths are steep and narrow and there is a drop off towards the upper hike where you can't even see the bottom....More

Very easily passed up if you're not paying attention to signs on the road. Not too bad of a hike, but a little crowded. People seemed to be exercising. Wear bug spray. Bring water.

This hike was recommended by a number of different people, and we were repeatedly cautioned about how crowded it would be. Because of its location and ease of access from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, being the first trail upon entry into the National Park (NP),...More

An easy, scenic hike leads to this beautiful waterfall. The trail leads to a bridge that's at about halfway up the waterfall, so from there, you only get to see the top half. There's a little trail that requires a bit of climbing right before...More

We wanted to hike to a waterfalls and the park ranger at Sugarlands Visitor Center recommended Laurel Falls. It was close, a 2.6 mile round trip easy hike on mostly asphalt trail. Weather was very pleasant and the Falls were beautiful. We went mid morning...More

Absolutely loved this hike. Get there early though because it gets busy fast. It was an easy walk up to the falls and it was home to an amazing view. Make sure to go the restroom at the visitor center before you go on the...More

I suggest getting there very early because the parking fills up fast. I know that people often get there at sunrise to hike.
