Quick hike up to a beautiful falls. You can walk behind it. Watch out for wildlife. Bears are active in this area. Didn't see any on our hike but we did smell what we imagined to be large wildlife very close to us. Reached to...More

Waited a year to hike in the mountains and it was well worth it. The hike is about 1.4 miles one way to the falls which words can not describe but being able to walk behind the falls makes up for it. The whole trail...More

These were the first falls we visited in the park and it was nice to be able to walk right behind them. The trail is ok, not to easy but it was fun to get there. I will highly recommend bringing rain gear. We started...More

this is a very nice hike to a wonderful waterfall. Grotto Falls is the only waterfall that you can walk behind.

My husband and I were expecting a quick and easy hike after looking briefly into this trail. By no stretch of the imagination was this easy. The trail is 2.6 miles roundtrip. The 1.3 miles up to the fall is a steady, steep climb and...More

Get here early and you will have a great walk. We get here around 830 and have a parking spot. We leave most things in the truck and have a enjoyable walk. We stop and look and let others get far ahead of us so...More

This is a fairly easy 3 mile round trip hike. The best part is the chance to walk behind the waterfall. This is the only one in the park that you should do that. It is a popular trail with limited parking. Plan to go...More

Worthwhile hike to see the falls! Make sure to wear shoes that are comfortable as there are many tree roots along the way. Also there are places where you cross streams and should have good footing. It was busy at the falls but people were...More

We absolutely loved this hike. It is all uphill on the way to the falls and down hill on the way back. I strongly suggest you come prepared. There are bears and we saw a baby one on the way back near the main road....More

I'll start by giving you the one bad thing... parking is awful. We got a late start on the morning (later than I wanted - GO EARLY!) by the time we got to the trailhead there were cars everywhere. My husband said he was one...More

We hiked a bit and then just found some nice flat rocks to picnic on. I'm not sure if there are picnic tables around. We improvised. There may have been picnic tables in the area off the main road, if I am remembering... More
