The Chimneys trail is totally burnt. But the top of the Chimneys look like no vegetation. Totally burnt out! They are working on the trail to fix it.

On the way up into the Smokeys from Gaitlinburg you can view Chimney Tops from many different pull offs on the road. Read the signs and take great pictures of these beautiful mountains.

This was a stop on our guided tour of the GSMs. These were interesting to see. We enjoyed the story of the teenagers who started the fire.
