This is my first time here and I immediately regret never being here since the entrance. The place Is beautiful and well organized the walkways are well protected Except for the caves in the “orrido” which can be slightly slippery because of the water. To enter the caves 2 and 3 in the orrido an helmet and a torch would be a nice choice to avoid head bumbs and impossibility to explore , especially cave 3 that is completely without light. It is a pity that they do not have Toilets and real English speaking people but the nature saved them all

Not really a scenic underground cave system but a statue in a small cave. Bit of a disappointment if you are expecting underground adventures. It is only open on weekends. There are a series of nature trails through a gorge nearby, very suggestive of Watkins Glen, New York. As in much of Italy, there are few signs or directions, and it is more of a nature walk rather than a learning experience. You can park your car across the street in a crowded lot where everybody just parks their car in whatever direction they want. There is a better, more organized lot about 100 metres down the road (north, in the direction of Gerchia).

We made a special trip to this amazing grotto. Hiking down the stairs was no big deal. Coming back up not so much fun. We took the path down to the grotto and followed it alongside the stream. Lots of interesting views. Then back up to the area by the cross and farther up for another look down on the canyon. During another previous trip our son and grandson had gone canyoning in this same grotto wearing wetsuits. Our 7 year old grandson was looking forward to returning.

We went canyoning (following the creek by marching, climbing down waterfalls, diving and swimming ) and it was a lot of fun! When you arrive the organizer Amrit greets you with the warmest of smiles, you get geared up (wet-suit, helmet and harness) and get a safety briefing, and you're ready to go down the creeks with a professional mountain guide. We did the Torrente Cosa Medio itinerary and it was thrilling, fun, yet accessible to almost anyone (longer itineraries may require some physical endurance). The creek is amazing seen from the riverbed and you get to wave to the people walking on the touristic trail from below. The prices may seem high when you look at their website, but they are very honest when you see what they offer in terms of experience, amusement and safety.

Great for young children to explore. For the cost of a cup of coffee it will keep a young family entertained for a couple of hours.
