A nice old castle with a beautiful view. For us it was a good trip for half a day. We were lucky that a very friendly local woman from the staff showed us around. There is also a small exhibition in the castle, nothing spectacular,...More

This has got to be the best example of a Norman castle anywhere in Europe! As a strong medieval defence fortress it has withstood the test of time and invasion attempts allowing us to admire its magnificent architecture, beauty and strength. There is so much...More

Coming from the coast, the site of the castle is breath-taking. On it's own hill, it looks like a fairy tale fortress. Very well restored. Large powerful rooms, thick walls. Very impressive. Beautiful views of the town and country-side from the castle. There is a history...More

Honestly? We love castles and have seem dozens and dozens. This one really was a disappointment. It looks amazing from the outside but there is very little to see on the inside. A few rooms with some dusty old clothes, the odd sword and really...More

Easliy one of the best preserved medieval castles in Italy. You can do a pretty good walk through, and are able to see some parts that are original flooring. The views are wonderful! I stayed in Caccamo for a week and visited the castle twice....More

By far our favorite castle that we have seen so far in Sicily. Stunning view overlooking the lake. Kind of tricky to get to, but well worth it!

Interesting medieval castle to visit, just for the views from the terraces. When it's raining the walk can be slippery.

Set on a cliff top with extensive views, Castello di Caccamo has a superb setting. This is a popular tourist attraction so expect crowd of people, there's also a lot of steps leading into the castle which might not suit everybody. Make sure you visit...More

Visited the castle with my 9-year old son. We all loved it. It is a castle that matches the childhood imagination of a medieval castle. A lot of work has been put in to restoring it and what a great job. Good, clear information and...More

We rented a car. It's the most convenient solution when in cefalu to travel in the surrounding. Except for Palermo, where the train is cheap and takes you in the heart of the city. Not much to see in Cefalu, you ll need to... More
