I stayed at Apa hotels in Shinjuku deffinetly the district to stay if first visit to Tokyo and the area around the hotel is Kabukicho very active with night life entertainment

I wouldn't go out of my way tovisit this area. I have nothing against red light districts but it's dirty by Tokyo/ Japanese standards. The restaurants are so-so. If in the neighborhood, I 'd stick to the area near Shinjuku station which is more upscale...More

If you want to go drinking or hot up a karaoke bar this is your place, I just strolled through to see the lights which was pretty good.

There is an airport limousine bus stop nearby the Shinjuku Station, better ask your hotel for directions.
