At Kimono Photo Studio Wasabi, you can wear a beautiful, authentic kimono – and enjoy a unique experience, with photos to treasure forever. Our family-run, professional photography studio has vintage kimonos and traditional Japanese costumes for you to admire and try. Match the intricate patterns of your chosen kimono with makeup colours and geisha-style hair accessories. (We can bring in a hair and makeup artist if you’d prefer.) And we’ve got other props, too: parasols, a katana, and more. Your personalised shoot will be led by an experienced fashion photographer. Our team knows Japanese and English, so if there’s anything you need please just ask. Same-day printing means you get your photos straight away, with digital copies to share with friends and family.

My wife and I booked a kimono photshot here and it was a totally great experience culminating in asome beautiful photos of the two of us as a Japan visit keepsake. Our photographer Sayaka was highly professional in positioning us a variety of poses and accessories (katana, fan, umbrella). She is very friendly and made us feel totally comfortable. She gives you the option of group shots as well as individual shots.. There are a variety of package photoshoots available. We chose the one hard copy photo with 5 digital copies sent to your e-mail which I received before I even left Japan aand add-on of having my wife's hair and makeup done. Sayaka uploads all of the photos and we all reviewed the photos to delete photos until we got down to the one we wanted to pint and the ones to be sent digitally. Hard choice as all the photos were great, Beautiful kinonos and poses andeit difficult to choose, If you want a different Japan experience highly recommend this place and Sayaka to do a kimono photoshoot. Very near the Namba train station makes it easy to get to. Highly recommend. for single, couple or family.

If you are looking for much more than such material souvenirs, this is the place where you get not only great photos but also memoriable experience. Talented photographer guided us to pose in many different traditional ways, but also considered our opinions. There was no problem with communication. We got lovely, beautifully finished and personal engagement photos from this studio, I can really recommend!

What an incredible experience! Sayaka was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made us feel so comfortable during our first ever photo shoot with a professional. We actually came here to get our wedding pictures done and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. Great price for the quality of pictures you get. We loved getting dressed up in the traditional clothing and learning about its history. I highly recommend coming here for anyone looking for an experience with memories to treasure forever!

This was honestly just such a great experience - Sayaka was so professional, not just while setting up the emails beforehand, but also during the shoot. She explained everything in detail, was very patient, directed me in a way that made me feel completely at home and comfortable and was able to create an atmosphere in which we both just had a lot of fun!
I wholly enjoyed myself and cannot recommend Sayaka and her studio enough!
Not to mention that the pictures turned out absolutely fantastic and I'll treasure them for a long long time!

Sayaka is a really nice and welcoming person. She makes you comfortable from the moment you walk in by chatting with you, asking questions and sharing ideas. She is most of all a very professional photographer who really enjoys the experience with you.
We had a couple photo shoot. She suggested many poses and let us suggest ours as well. We got to choose the kimonos and accessories we liked among a variety of them and we had a great time with a lot of laughter during the whole shooting. We truly recommend her to all whom passing by OSAKA.The photos are awesome and the time and money spent totally worth it.

Sayaka knows her stuff, she is truly amazing. The experience itself was really worth it and was one of the highlights of our trips to Osaka. She was very patient and guided us well through the entire process and made it so much fun. We love our pictures so much and have shared it with friends and family already. We've gotten really great feedback and it's all thanks to Sayaka. If you're even considering this, just go for it! You'll be very glad you did!
The booking process is pretty straightforward. I contacted the company via email a couple of weeks before our trip; their response time was quick and I was able to make reservations almost right away.

We booked last minute and was thankful that Sayaka was able to take us in. My boys were not crazy about dressing up and taking photos, but once there, Sayaka was very friendly and was able to communicate with us in English (which was great as we didn't know much Japanese) the boys loved it at the end and wanted more and more photos and wanted to show them off to their friends. Even though the place wasn't big and it doesn't look like much, but the photos Sayaka took was gorgeous and so professional. We loved it. Thanks again Sayaka for the last minute take in and your great help and professionalism. Would recommend this place to all who want to experience dressing in a kimono and taste the culture with memories to last a life time.

Sayaka’s English is 10/10 so there was no problem communicating with her. Friendly and professional, she will definitely make this memorable experience a comfortable and rewarding one. The photos turned out quite okay, but the experience itself was the highlight. The kimonos there have a really good quality and the studio is cozy and beautiful. Will recommend it to anyone coming to Osaka. This place is near Shinsaibashi, so it’s very convenient and accessible too. Thank you Sayaka!

My husband and I still have a week left in Japan, and I know for sure NOTHING will top these pictures as souvenirs/memories to take home!! Sayaka is an amazing photographer, she made the photo shoot so fun and unforgettable! I give this studio, especially sayaka a 10/10 and recommend them to any one coming to Osaka. Thankyou so much Sayaka, I will forever be obsessed with these photos and I know our family will as well!!!😊😊😊♥️

sayaka was so friendly and made our photo session enjoyable and stress free. she gave us great photo poses while asking us for any certain ones we had in mind. she did a great job because at the end of the session picking our favorites were hard since they all turned out great. so far this place is the most memorable since the pictures were great and the atmosphere was so welcoming. thanks again for taking our walk-in appt.
