This is a very big place so will have to walk a lot and the view is very nice and you can go all the way up the castle to have a nicer view.

Very hot day, and rather than walking several kms to the castle we used the motorised train lookalike. It was a quirky way to go. 500 y return. The park is rather wild in parts, but enough shade of you want

Things i love about japan are theor informative and veautiful displays/exhibitions. Went there during the heatwave, but the facility is accommodative with water air sprays and functioning airconds. There's observation platform too. Souvenir shop also good enough although rather small.

Be prepared to walk a great distance and wait to tour the inside,of this beautiful castle. Street performers are regular appearances on the promenade. There is a small mall with food and gifts. Watch out for the ninjas!

Osaka Castle is well worth a visit. Amazing views from the top and plenty of history facts and displays inside. In a sea of concrete, this is a lovely open space with great views of the castle and city. Fresh Air!

Anytime from April through to June as far as the weather goes. Timing wise, early in the morning is less crowded so I would aim to get there around opening time to mid-day.
