Ceglie is one of those towns you always just drive by. Take the time to stop and see the historic area including the castle and the beautiful churches. worth stop.

Despite its allegedly acclaimed Norman tower - which you cannot access, only look at - the Castello Ducale is the pinnacle of Ceglie's architecture... trouble is, it's a very low pinnacle. Housing the town's library it's a practical space with an art exhibition area attached....More

The castle tower is old and still intact but when you climb the stairs you access the town's library and municipal meeting hall. People are in there working their laptops. In spite of that it's interesting to see a number of 300 year old books...More
