This is historical temple which have long history.
It is not a very big temple but nice architecture. One thing is Taiwan's temples have very very impressive architecture and structure. Amazing.
Mazu is always happy to help people.

The Tianhou Temple was built in 1746, it is one of the few temples in Ximending dedicated to Matsu, Goddess of the Ocean. It was funded by Chinese immigrant merchants from Fujian Province in mainland China. It is the only temple dedicated to Hongfa Da Shi, a Buddhist saint worshipped in Japan. Japanese tourists can often be seen here.

I have been here a few times. Find this temple stands in the busy business district rather interesting. A place for taking pictures.

I walked across this small temple by chance. It is hidden between 2 shops house which you can overlook. It was under renovation the day I visited, but still the place was tranquil. You can feel the peace of mind.

The revered goddess mazu is the main figure of this historical temple with the uncommon revered Japanese BUDDHIST monk Kobodaishi traced back to 804 A.D.

As the name of my review, this temple is hidden between retail shop fronts. I got lost and went in circles. Once youve gone past the entrance, the colours are vibrant. Definitely a worth a visit

I went to Heping Island & after I visited it I caned to Tianou Temple. It is just a short walk/cane to the temple and it is just a bit up an alley to see it. I LOVE Buddhist Temples!

. . . this temple is worth a visit; however, it is small, and surrounded by walls and other buildings which make it incredibly smoky and hot, especially on a warm July day.

I thought that this place was very cool. Very few people were there and no Europeans, so it seemed very authentic and it probably is. However, I cannot compare it to other temples since I've never been to another one. I visited in 2015 and doubt if a hundreds of years old temple has changed much since then.
