Visited Jiaoxi Jungle Bath 森林风呂3 years ago, it was beautiful and provide unique experience of hotspring in the nature, simply love it. In Nov 2022, brought my friends there, this time, the place is run down, with mosquito and water no longer clean. Heard that the management has changed. Hope the situation is not getting worse under the new management. Please bring back the nice experience we used to have. Would love to bring more friends from Singapore!

We love Jiaosi largely becuse of the hot springs, both public park for the feet and hotel in room private and common pools for guests. But also, right by the train station are some shops with some of the best snack food (peanuts...) to load up on. And hiking trails with water falls. Plenty of active temples, like anywhere else. Convient by bus or train . There is history, vanishing fast, like the old battery factory, now just a bus stop name.
Visiting Turtle Island or Yilan or LuoDong night market- all easy and close to Jiaoxi. I must admit, I've never visited the coast; maybe next time.

Place is full with hotels and mass tourism entertainment. Despite not looking that special. Most unfriendly people I have seen on my Taiwan trip, unfortunately.

The hot sting area was close to Taipei city about an hour. It is easy to reach with public transportation includes bus and train. Also quick to drive. But if driving, be cautious about the HOV time which start from 3 pm Sunday. There are different class and style of hotel around the area no matching different budget. The hot siring was see through without smell. There are also many souvenir store . Great place for a break and not too far from Taipei. The air also very fresh .

There are 2 free hotsprings to soak your feet. I went to the one near Tangweigou as the one near Jiaosi park is surrounded by constructions. Senlin 森林 hotspring charges NT 40 more for foreigners. I went and paid NT 80 for fenglu 枫吕 hotspring instead, foreigner and local same price. You have to pay additional for towels, shower cap and others. If u can bring you own, no need to pay

Still love this place . We paid 400 plus 10 for towel to come to this onsen . Students have a discount . Flash your student pass .
You enter , put your shoes on the shelf , then proceed to the locker room where you need two 10 NT coins . Strip naked then proceed to the wash area . After washing , dip in the multiple pools ranging from 19 to 44 degrees celcius . Shampoo and soap provided as well as a hair dryer but no combs . Also hot and cold water provided but no cups or water container .
Lovely soaking experience . A must do if you come to Yilan.

Some improvements in progress so it is close now. Local people said it will reopen in winter, may be in November. I like this spring so much. Quiet, clean, not so many people and reasonable price. Look forward to its reopening soon!

The Park was well designed with tastefully arranged vegetation, ponds, and steps. There’s a lot of shades.

Just like a hot bath, can call it relaxing. Probably it's my personal liking, I didn't see anything special.

Take a chance and dip your fit or your body in these wonderful spring hot baths. It can be tricky to find but follow the signs and directions along the pathways and you won't miss it. Great to go at night when it's abit chilly out.
