This site can be reached by 2 different methods. Our navigation app took us the more difficult way which was a rock/dirt road that went over the hill. I would suggest looking for the paved alternate route and taking that one. I highly recommend taking the well-paved part for everyone. Parking is limited in the parking lot that is at the trailhead for the falls. This location leads to several trails and at least 2 falls that are a short hike: Juney Whank and Tom Creek. Tom Creek is the easiest falls to get to and to see. Straight in front of the parking lot, to the right of the Juney Whank Trailhead, there is a wide road path, fairly flat with not much of a slope. Take that road for about 0.3 miles to the falls. You will probably see a group of people on the right side of the road. There are benches and steps and the falls are across the river from you. There is a way for the more adventurous to get down to the river or to the rocks if you want to get closer or get better pictures. It is a nice easy set of falls to see. It is a broad set of falls that is short by most standards but worth seeing if you like nature and falls. Enjoy!

very easy stroll, saw people doing it in bear feet holding tubes. Surprised at how clean it was, no cans, no cigarette butts, no gang bangers or trash

we need to drive an unpaved road in order to reach the parking lot, from it's a short walk from the parking lot to the fall, easy trail, less than 10 min walk from parking lot, you can reach the falls, the falls is nice, not very big one, but is quite a beautiful one, have different layers, and there are stairs / steps you sit on it to view the falls, there is also bench for people to sit. From this falls, there is a path to walk to another falls (Juney Whank falls)

Located in Bryson, North Carolina at the same location as the Juney Whank Falls, the Toms Branch Falls is easily accessible as a second destination, about half mile further down the moderate trail.

Toms Branch differs from Juney Whank in its setting and location. Whereas Juney Whank Falls appears out of nowhere after about half mile of moderate hiking, Toms Branch is viewable from across a narrow river after walking a stretch of flat trailhead. Both falls are similar in height, but one cannot get nearly as close to Toms Branch Falls, so the opportunities for “wow” proximity photos are limited. Conversely, the views of the entire four or five level waterfall, replete with multiple drops, certainly made for impressive photography of its own.

Inasmuch as the distance between the two falls is rather nominal, Cherry Wonderdog believes that anyone who doesn’t make the extra effort to see Toms Branch Falls after Juney Whank Falls suffers from acute doggie dementia.

This was a very easy hike on a very wide trail - the trail is used for tubing too. The falls were beautiful but I’m rating it 4 stars because of how busy the trail is with tubers.

Recommend anyone go. Easy to access and beautiful! Flat walking service, close to parking, and benches. Definitely wheelchair accessible.

Walking downhill from Juney Whank Falls, you hook into a trail that will take you right by Tom Branch Falls. All along this trail you’ll be treated to many scenic views of Deep Creek, which runs right through the park. Although I did have my NC trout stamp, I didn’t have my equipment with me….unfortunate, as the water looked quite fishy. Tom Branch Falls are right across the creek from the path, providing perfect selfie and photo op options for even the most discriminatory, self-absorbed, selfie-holic. Keep walking up the path to visit Indian Creek Falls. Recommended

It's on the trail to the Indian Creek Falls, and you can't fail to see it. It's one of the three waterfalls accessible from the Deep Creek campground.

Located in the Deep Creek section of the Great Smoky Mountains National all Park, Tom Branch Falls is the easiest hike of the three waterfalls in this area. The trail is wide, level, and paved; we saw families with small children and strollers using this trail. There is a thick tree canopy, so the trail was comfortable on a hot summer afternoon. To see the falls, you look across the wide creek. There are benches for sitting and watching the tubers float by. We continued on the trail a half mile further to Indian Creek Falls, which is more spectacular. On a Friday afternoon, the trail was busy.
