What an intrepid adventure! It took us a few days to get in to this holiday, shifting from busy, fast-paced lives to a more relaxed and laid back attitude. Once I got over the snake encounters (yes, you WILL see some whilst out on your wild adventures!), we started to really enjoy Montenegro.

It’s a relatively undeveloped country, but as you travel back along the coastline towards Croatia there are some lovely gems such as Petrovac, Budva and Kotor (though be warned there are lots of cars in Kotor and a strong smell of cat urine!)

Tobi and Adel were fantastic at looking after us all, and their very relaxed approach was infectious. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were both really good with our children ages 9 & 11.

So glad we did this trip as a family as it was a brilliant experience.

Would definitely recommend hiring a car so you can explore much further on your ‘free’ days.

This was an excellent trip for all involved in Albania. We are a family of 4 with 2 adventurous/energetic girls (10 and 11). We did the Montenegro trip 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed both. Ben was great throughout the booking. Our tour leader Aldo was also great and accommodating to our needs/goals. Everyday was an exciting adventure and never a dull moment. We learnt so much on the culture and loved the cuisine. Next stop the Kosovo trip!

We were signed up to the Montenegro to Albania 7 day holiday. Our guide, Semir was fantastic. He tailored the walks to the needs of the group as our holiday progressed. He also felt a part of our group by the end of the week. Very knowledgeable about the areas we were visiting/passing through and took us to fantastic spots of the beaten track that we would have otherwise have passed by in complete ignorance!
Our final day was spent in a farmhouse/restaurant/vineyard in Albania culminating in the best value meal we have ever had., bar none........ Get yourself to Mirzi i Zinave if you can!
Already considering our return next year to continue the exploration of these fantastic destinations.

Firstly, the views from the accomodation were spectacular - you can't beat waking up to a coffee and breakfast on the terrace with that kind of back drop! My family and I had the entire farmhouse to ourselves as we had all rooms booked, and they were very comfortable. The villa was kept clean at all times and was in great condition. Our hosts and guides, Tobi and Adel, were lovely - down to earth and easy to get along with, and we enjoyed their company. The activities themselves were incredible! Hiking, kayaking, canyoning, wild swimming and some delicious lunches in some of the most picturesque locations - a particular highlight is the lunch at Tania's house midway through a relatively challenging hike. I would say all of the activities require a good level of fitness, but are scalable in any case if you spoke with the hosts and expressed any concerns. Pack plenty of bug spray as the mosquitos are present, but not unbearable. Shoes that allow you to walk in the water on uneven and slippery stones would also be a recommendation of mine, but we all did fine without them. Thanks very much, Undiscovered Montenegro!

We had a fantastic holiday with these guys in July/Aug this year (2023). Our two no-longer-kids (17 and 20) came along with us and we had a blast kayaking, canyoning, cycling, rafting and walking. Our guide, Nenad, was good fun and I have to say I'm very glad he drove us around - the roads are pretty scary. Accommodation was clean and sometimes querky - double decker hut in the hills anyone? But always good.

Montenegro was amazing and definitely more mountainous than I expected (guess who didn't read the guide before they went..). Our holiday had 3 different bases so I feel like we had a great overview of this beautiful place. I was a bit worried about booking a tour as these things can be a bit overbearing and you might feel rushed or "steered" but I can honestly say that it was perfect - everything was at our own pace with just enough "guidance" that we knew what we were doing and felt safe (if still thrilled). I feel like we had more of an insight to Montenegro going with this company, even having the most amazing dinner cooked by a local in her own house. I'd highly recommend them and would definitely do it again.

We have recently returned home from an incredible Family Actvity week with Undiscovered Montenegro and wish we could go back immediately! The trip was as amazing as we had hoped it would be. Ben, Emma, Tobi & Adel are a wonderfully welcoming team who work so hard to make everything about this trip runs smoothly and ensure every single person has a great time.

It's hard to pick a favourite thing because quite honestly, everyday had something favourite about it - which just made the whole week feel very special. If you have even the smallest inkling of an adventurous nature, you will not regret this trip! Montenegro is beautiful and the team make sure you see some of the most beautiful parts and they really are undiscovered and that just makes it even more special.

We had the most amazing family holiday which totally exceeded our expectations. Ana was the best tour guide that we could have ever wished for - going above and beyond to make everything run perfectly smooth, the kids loved her. They have created such a great programme for families to enjoy Montenegro's mind-blowing scenery, with a fantastic range of activities that were safely run and suitable for the whole family starting from the moment that we arrived at our first accommodation and right up to the last evening. It was truely memorable.

Brilliant holiday! Such friendly staff- and fantastic organization. We would never have found the beautiful spots or done the great adventures without the team. We met fun people and came home buzzing from such a fun holiday!

What a week! A truly fantastic experience from start to finish. Ben, Emma, Adele and Toby were amazing hosts with great local knowledge. Over the course of the week we had 4 jam packed experience days all of which you could never have experienced as independent travellers as they were off the beaten track, each had their own spectacular views. Our 15 and 12 year old loved every minute particularly the wild swimming, for me the kayaking on Lake Skadar was a particular highlight. The Villa is comfortable and spacious retreat after busy days. On non activity days we were provided with plenty of suggestions of things to do - the local wine tasting was excellent. I could not recommend Undiscovered Montenegro highly enough a truly memorable family holiday.

An exceptional week with Undiscovered Montenegro! The owner, Ben, was fantastic at communicating right from the start and even though we had a rocky start with Ryanair, Ben made us feel relaxed and very reassured. We have never been on a tour like this before and I was nervous that everyone in the family would like it but this is honestly such a good trip for all ages. We are a family of 6 with 4 daughters: 19,17,14,11. We could have had older or younger members and it would still have been brilliant. Our tour guide Ana felt like a friend and we all felt sad saying goodbye to her on our last day. She was so thoughtful and very informative. We really enjoyed getting to know about Montenegro through her. I won’t go into the activities in detail as you should experience them yourself but we did a boat trip on Lake Skadar, went canyoning, white water rafting on the Tara river, hiking around the Black Lake and zip lining. We also decided to do the via Ferrata in Durmitor which took me very much out of my comfort zone. Ana makes you think you can do anything! It was amazing and something I shall never forget. I must also mention the food!!!! We ate like kings for the week. I can’t thank Ben and Ana enough. Superb accommodation too. Can’t fault anything. We hope to return one day.
