In some parts of the park there are many dead trees. After asking why this is the case, it seems that some worms eat the bark of these trees. In addition the koala's eat the leaves of the worm infested trees, after which the trees...More

We spent 5 days doing the Great Ocean Walk from Apollo Bay - 12 Apostles. Much of this walk is completed through the beautiful Otway National Park. So many great things to see in this National Park and much of it only accessible on foot....More

The drive through the Otways was gorgeous enough, and stopping for a walk trail at Lake Elizabeth was wonderful, then going down to the forest proper was like entering the land of dinosaurs. As a West Aussie I'm not used to seeing that kind of...More

So basically you can visit this National Park and visit all different Waterfalls and Walking Trails withing the park. This National Park has some of the best scenery and views whilst driving alone. But just beware, the roads can be very narrow.

Lots of opportunities to view fantastic surroundings, you can even do a little Koala spotting if you look closely in the trees. We didn't have enough time to spend at the lighthouse so we didn't buy tickets, just enjoyed the drive.

There is no fee to enter the National Park that I saw, just a lot of stopping places along the coast. However, there will be a cost for food and accommodation if stopping in the area for the night.
