Sunrise Divers is a 5 Star Dive Center based at Karon Beach, Phuket since 1999. We offer SSI and PADI dive courses with a wide variety of dive options - liveaboards to the Similan islands, diving day trips and overnight trips around Phuket and Phi Phi, and dive courses for new and experienced divers.

My trip to Thailand got extended so I found Sunrise online and booked the Open Water Course with them and the instructor Denis.
From day 1 I had a great experience, friendly staff easy to book and brilliant advice. I was apprehensive about diving at first and focussed on safety but Denis helped me develop the skills and experience to comfortable dive and I loved it.
I subsequently booked more dives through Sunrise and completed the Advanced Open Water Course – fully comfortable being underwater and already planning more diving trips.
I am very thankful to Denis and Sunrise for the experience and this whole experience turned a good trip into a great trip! Highly recommend to everyone!

I've been scuba diving for 5 years and I have to tell You, I can't remember a better adventure than the one I had with sunrise divers. Our dive Master was Jakob Rasmussen and he is just amazing,knowledgeable and took excellent care of us (My girlfriend and I)in our 2 day liveboarding arround the similan islands.
We had day and night dives, we saw hundreds of colour fish, beatiful coral,sea turtles, manta rays and a gigantic mobula!!
Jakob was always on the details with the gear and equipment which in this kind of trips is a great plus. He has a top of the line camera and he took pictures while we just enjoyed the dives. After each dive he shared with us the beatiful pictures that he took.
The service from sunrise divers was excellent, the transfers, the service on the boat was better than many hotels. Worth every Penny.
If You are planning on scuba diving in thailand, look no further, sunrise divers is where You want to go and if you are lucky you may get Jakob Rasmussen (You can ask if he's available)as your dive Master.
I will definetly come back!

We went on a dive tour to Racha Islands with a great tutor Jon Parr. The experience was simply wonderful, the diversity of underwater life was fantastic. We were diving as beginners, altough we had the Open Water Diving certificate already. We felt completely safe with Jon as he paid attention to us constantly, nothing bad could happen to us. As a bonus he made several pictures of us for free and he gave us pretty much advice regarding other programs in Phuket, Thailand. We had 3 dives on one day, breakfast, lunch and drinks inclusive. I would recommend Sunrise Divers for everyone, for beginners and for more experienced divers as well.

We decided last minute that we wanted to scuba dive in Phuket while my husband and I were on our honeymoon, him being certified diver and practically a fish and myself never diving before. we thought we would save the diving for phi phi but turns out I am extremely thankful that we added on this trip. Did some google research and found sunrise had great reviews and was close to our hotel. Greeted by Gilbert I knew we were in great hands the minute he began with us. He got us fitted and assured me that I would be with a great dive master to help me through my discover scuba dive, he wasn’t joking. The next day we were greeted by our dive master Denis who made everything such a breeze! He was not only professional but personable, caring and had a great sense of humor, what more could you ask for. Denis helped me navigate through the basics of diving while on the boat ride to Racha Yai and racha noi. The whole time under water he helped me with whatever issues I was working through whether it was equalizing my ears or water in my mask, held my hand when I needed a little extra support and never let me out of his sight which is super comforting when you have never experienced breathing solely through your mouth! Denis was also able to take pictures of us underwater that I can’t thank him enough for ! We will have the memory of my first dive now forever. Cant speak highly enough of Denis and Gilbert for such a breeze of a process ! Can’t wait to certify and continue adding on some more incredible dives

Sunset Divers were both responsive and extremely accommodating, allowing me to dive once with a dive master alone and twice with my father who was doing a discovery dive with a separate instructor. His instructor, Jon, was extremely reassuring and made sure my father (who is nearly 70!) felt confident and safe underwater. We went to some fantastic dive spots and Jon took some lovely photos for us on his underwater camera.
The service on the boat was excellent, food was top quality and the boat was regularly mopped and cleaned throughout the day which made for a very pleasant on-board experience. Definitely one of the best boats I have been on for diving. The whole crew was extremely responsive and helpful, never was there a moment where you felt you needed help without a member of staff coming to assist you.
A great experience, I thoroughly recommend.

I had always wanted to get my open water certification and when I knew I was going to be in Phuket for a long holiday I started investigating various dive schools in the Karon and Patong beach areas. I sent a few feeler emails out, and out of those I received, Sunrise Divers was by a country mile the most clear and professional response I received. They were prompt in answering all questions I had from the types of course available to a new diver to the cost and dates of each. I decided to go for the 3 Day SSI Open Water Certiciation course with 6 Dives in total, and easily paid a deposit to the centre. The centre provided me with all the virtual learnings for SSI that was required, which were easy to navigate for completion.
Prior to getting to the dive centre itself, I had to change my hotel location and Gilbert and the team were very accomodating in terms of pick-ups and drop-offs.
Day 1 of the course and I arrive at the centre to a warm reception, where I meet Gilbert and my instructor Mark for the course. We get kitted up and upon arrival of my fellow learners (2x Austrian lads) we head to the pool to undertake the skills section. Mark was brilliant at both explaining each aspect of the equipment, setting it up, why we use what where, and then brilliant in teaching the skills in the pool. So much so we finished the pool skills early so we had some spare time to practice before heading back.
Day 2 and 3 the driver picked me up promptly from my hotel in Patong and took me out to the boat on which we were to complete the required dives for the open water. The boat (the Freedom Dolphin) and its staff were brilliant, and provided water and food both for lunch but also hot snacks for the way back to shore. Mark again was clear and helpful with his teachings, and happy to say myself and the other learners passed our exam on Day 1 and then completed the 4 required dives by the morning of Day 2, so we had 2 fun dives to close out the trip.
Overall a brilliant experience with a well-oiled while still enjoyable and friendly operation that is Sunrise Divers. I will definitely be back!

We used Sunrise divers for 2 days diving. One day at Phi Phi for 3 dives and one day at the Similan Islands for 2. Phi phi involved a large boat which took pretty much the entire day, Similan is further however the run a speedboat service out to a live aboard based there which cuts down on the travel time considerably. We had expected the Similan Islands to be the best however we actually managed to see the best corals and marine life on our first day near Phi Phi. The dives were excellent and our dive master on the first day (Tiger) was outstanding in the attention to detail and support throughout the day. We would certainly use sunrise again for dives in the region.

We did a Three dive trip with Sunrise over Christmas. Our Guide Jonathan was great and made the day even better for my daughter and I (both PADI Open Water divers). Our experience from start to finish on the trip with the food, gear, crew and the diving was brilliant and seamless from the pick up at our Hotel at Karon Beach to dropping us home at the end of the day- Thoroughly recommend.

Had a super day diving around Phi Phi with Franck. Highlights were: 5-6 turtles on the first dive, black tip reef sharks on the second dive, and a leopard shark, sea horses and a school of thousands of yellow snappers on the third dive. Plus a lot of other beautiful fish and corals.
The dive shop works well, the boat was spacious and staff was helpful. Our dive master, Franck, is very professional, attentive and skillful, and we’d love to come back next time.

My wife and I went on a day trip, with three refresher dives, in the Phi Phi Islands. It had been over two years since our last dive due to Covid-19. Our guide Camille did an excellent job of helping us review diving skills, briefing us on the dive sites and pointing out wildlife while underwater. We swam with a huge school of fish and spotted several sharks, amongst other aquatic life!
This was the best dive day we’ve had yet, hands down. We highly recommend Sunrise Divers, especially if you’re newer to the sport like us.
