After few times doing fun dives, my partner and I finally did our diving license at Baracuda Diving. We talked with Pedro and we were warmly welcomed by the whole team. Pedro explained us, in detail and with high level or honesty and professionalism, the steps we had to take in order to obtain a PADI Open Water Diver licence. We studied the material and discussed with him the main points for a safe dive. Later on, we did all recommended skills in the water (confined and open) and obtained successfully our diver ID :) The whole team is very friendly and professional. Besides that, they provide equipment in very good conditions that makes you feel comfortable in the water. After obtaining the license, we went on other dives and it was amazing. We saw turtles and amazing fishes and corals right next to the place. Besides Pedro, Boniface took very good care of us in the water and his calm and patience are superb! I definitely recommend this place for fun dives and for people who want to do their license as well. We had a great time there with them.

Having dived with most of the dive operations along Mombasa’s south coast, Baracuda comes top of the list. Here’s why: Their staff are helpful, friendly, and plain good fun to be with, without sacrificing safety or professionalism. The best of the Diani dive sites are on their doorstep, 10-20 mins away. Their boat has good shade, plenty of drinking water and they don’t overcrowd it. Last but not least, the dive guides take a relaxed pace underwater, so you have a chance to see the life there property. Dive guide Boniface is particularly good in this department.

I had the pleasure of diving with Baracuda Dive Co with Isaac as our dive master. This group is professional and experienced. Isaac made me feel very comfortable when I ran low on air and needed to share his. We all got seasick on the boat and the guys helped me get geared up for the second dive since I was feeling ill. The dive itself was lovely, lots of starfish, coral and fish. We did not spot any whale sharks but the dive was good enough for a five star review. I recommend these guys for sure.

I was staying at Amani Tiwi resort and haven't dived for a few years. After a quick dive in the hotel pool with Bonface, to ensure I still remembered what to do, the next day I booked a 2 dive excursion. Both dives were on local reefs. We saw masses of fish and even a turtle. The dive centre is a professional setup with top quality gear available. The bonus is that you catch the boat straight off the beach. Thank you to all of the staff who made my stay truly unforgetable, expecialy Bonface who is a top dive master. If you are staying local, I thoroughly recomend diving with Baracuda, whether it's just a try dive or a full week's diving, you will not be disappointed!
