Tha Basilica di Superga is located on a small mountain in Turin. We tried to get to the basilica via a tram, located at the base of the mountain. The wait would have been an hour so we went up by car. On the way...More

Just returned from a trip to Turin. The Superga was one of the top things on my list to see, but it was quite a disappointment. The tram was cool and old, but very slow. It does climb a really steep hill so I get...More

If you don't speak Italian, don't take tours. The paper they give you takes 10 mn to read and you have to suffer through a visit that last forever. The basilic is ok but in serious need of a clean up. The view on Torino...More

You can leave the car and go up by cable car that runs every hour on the hour from the bottom. 30’ later it descends. Parking lot up there is not major so be advised. Excellent views also from the top of the basilica.

Took the rack train from Sassi at 10am and arrived at the top at about 20 minutes later. Short walk from the station with gorgeous views over Turin. Went up to the cupola (131 steps - enclosed spiral staircase) and more or less had it...More

A fun trip. Bus 61 or 68 or tram 15 (1.50 euro) to Saasi-Superga. Finucular (9 euro round trip) to the top, short walk to Basilica. Stunning views of Torino. From here there are walking paths that seem to go many km. The funicular returns...More

Not city center, it deserves planning as Superga is out of the city, on the top of the nearby mountain, but if time and weather allows it is worth the trip for the views and the walks in the surroundings. Visit to the church is...More

The Basilica itself is really nice and offers gorgeous views of the city. However, getting there is a hassle. Whether it's with the too expensive tram or with the non-punctual and badly explained bus system, getting up the hill is a hard task.
