The Dentice of Frasso Castle is a wonderful example of the Middle Age architecture in the Puglia Region, South Italy. It was build under the Normans and then it was enlarged during the XV century. It was an elegant noble residence untill 1961 .You can't miss its charm and mystery. Come to visit its towers, terrace and gardens!

This castle in the centre of Carovigno was inhabited until 50 years ago, and is very much intact. You can now visit it for free. Well worth it for its atmosphere and the views.

We visited this castle in a July afternoon and and art exhibition had place that time. In the castle just a few rooms were open to the tourists. The court yard has traces from it's glamorous past: decorated balconies, stone bench.

The castle's courtyard is very pleasant with Romeo and Juliet like balconies. In summer the castle courtyard hosts cultural events and the castle has occasional art exhibitions.

The courtyard of the castle is simply stunning, I have also visited this area at different times of the year and the way the sunlight shines through the trees is simply mesmerising. Carovigno is a wonderful town and definitely worth visiting!!
