I went up to the mountain top for coffee and croissant. The gondola ride was fun $2400/person and the view is great. Super great view of the northern Alps. The scenery worth every cents.

Although this resort isn’t the most recent it has some really great beginner runs for teaching little ones to ski or board, and a massive variety of on snow food options. Well laid out and easy to get around. A really nice run from the top to the bottom using a mix of red, advanced beginner, and beginner runs.

Just a short 10 min drive from Tsugaike for a ski. The gondola was a bit busy as it was a Sunday but once we were up at the summit things went smoothly. Had some great shrimp ramen at the Summit for lunch.

Nice place, but nothing in English, they do not even have a leaflet in English, pity.
Seems like they do not really cater to foreigners, just to the Japanese market.

Been to Hakuba a couple of times. Goryu and Hakuba 47 probably my favourites. The other slopes to the east of the mountain eg Iwatake are excellent too but more likely have lift closures and seems to get less snow. Iwatake was closed completely, apart from the runs at the top of the gondola. For really good reliable snow, I’d stick to these two, especially if your visit is short.

This season has been a low snow year and has been difficult for Iwatake, but on a normal year here in Hakuba this is a great place to get away from the crowds and be able to ride powder much longer than other resorts here in Hakuba. Also, a lot of windy delays from Happo and Tsugaike and even sometimes the mountains close. Iwatake doesn't have this issue mostly as it's more protected. Worth it!
