Great play/trail park - Amenities need attention 🦠
Aug 2021 • Family
An absolutely amazing play area for children with a variety of apparatus to suit all ages and abilities.

Sadly have to say the toilets were in a disgusting state, which could have been due to visitors not leaving them in a respectable condition however this should be monitored. The biggest issue I had was all of the hand wash/soap pumps were empty (6-8 in total!) so unable to wash hands, which in the current climate is concerning. No hand sanitizers were provided either. I think hygiene should be priority in high footfall venues. My friend who accompanied me advised the male toilets were also in the same condition and without hand wash 🦠 🦠 🦠

Great place to walk

Use GPS and you'll see there are more trails than you think.well kept park. We have seen foxes, deer and buzzards and there are lots of beautiful songbirds. Well worth a visit. Play area for kids and a cafe.

Great for all ages wanting a walk in the countryside.
May 2021
A nice variety of open spaces and woodlands to walk around with plenty of paths. From the visitors centre to the main lake is a pleasant walk but after that you can explore in any direction you like.
Don't forget to take a picture of the map on the main noticeboard at reception so you don't get too lost!
A good sized car park with an overflow available for busy days, but once you start walking you will not see many people.

Shame about the drinks
Jan 2021
First ever visit, great for walking. Cafe let us down though, £3.50 for deluxe white hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Got 3, £10.50 total. Dreadful! It was virtually a cup of white coloured hot water, almost undrinkable and no taste of chocolate at all. By the time it was cool enough to drink, couldn’t go back to cafe as on other side of park. Waste of money and 3 very disappointed customers.

A lovely country park
Nov 2020
I had never been to Belhus before, but it made a real change and was a nice place to go.
It’s a big place with fields, woodlands, good paths to walk along, lots of lakes with a variety of water fowl and a good café for a quick snack with friendly servers. We had a peppermint tea, coffee and both had a tea cake which were reasonability priced.
If you have children there is a nice clean well laid out play area for them and if you have a dog there are nice walks to take them on.
It would be a nice place to go in the summer months for a picnic.
We had a nice walk round and its somewhere that the whole family would enjoy. I would definitely go back again to this lovely natural hidden gem.

Great park, lots to do
Aug 2020 • Family
The cafe here is excellent, well worth a stop. The playground is very very good with lots of imaginative musical installations as well as slides, climbing frames, swings etc. The main draw though is the park itself, which is vast with lots of well organised paths and plenty of stuff to see and do. Lakes, woodland, under cover and woodlands. Fab.

Really good - shame about parking fees
Jul 2020 • Couples
This is a great country park just north of dartford over the M25.

We enjoyed the trails and different environments - woodland; meadow fields; wetland and lakes. There’s plenty of wildlife too, especially the geese congregating around the lakes.

The park is split across the Romford road and the west side was quieter with fewer amenities but just as good for walking.

The vintage planes flying overhead made it interesting to sit and watch the world go by.

Perfect for picnics and good for families and pets - there’s a playground with at least three slides plus dogs roaming around and special sections for dogs to play and train in.

Would have been five stars where it not for the parking fees which aren’t a flat value rate like most other country parks - the incremental charge is higher than other local authorities nearby.

Great but dirty
Jul 2020 • Family
We visited to tale the kids to the sandpit and play area. Whilst these parts are absolutely fine and the lakes and fields are stunning, the play area lacks bins. There are only poo bins. Although people should of course be more considerate, the missing waste bins means that there are Bottles and cans all around. Definitely not ideal for young ones!

Nice Walk
Jun 2020 • Friends
A lovely place to walk the dogs 🐶 it’s such a big place I have been a few times but still not got round the place. It has toilets at the entrance that are clean, with a little cafe. Overall a great place to walk with a kids play area.
