Grade: Moderate Mcleodganj to Triund 2800 mtrs, 9 kms gradual trek. The trek offer panoramic views Bhagsu village, Mcleodganj, Dharamsala valley and distant views of Shivalik hills and plains of Kangra valley. The trek is moderate nature. Triund is a large land of green grass and pasture like. One can see the mighty Dhauladhar ranges just above the eyes. This is the base camp and climatization point for trekkers climbing the Inderahara point in the Mt. Dhauladhar.

A bit of hard trek but worth it for an awesome view. Plenty of camps available at top but no washrooms so decide wisely if you want to stay overnight or not ;)

I was with my friend on a trip to McLeodganj and Triund's trek is a must to be ticked off your list then. I went in the month of February around 16-17 so snowfall was out of my expectations' list. But yes, the peak top...More

I cant confirm, but I believe the trek is open throughout the year. My friends have visited triund in January so its pretty much possible to go in october. Try calling their official site n asking once. Safe trekking!

Trekking will be difficult with a child. It gets steep towards the end. If you don't work out regularly it will be difficult for you too. And to carry a child will make it unmanageable.
