Small museum with history about Taino indians in Puerto Rico, interesting artifacts to see. In adition, there is a house/museum right behind the parking lot. I didn't got a chance to go in as it was closed when we finished looking at artifacts in the Cemi museum.

If you have to travel from far away; It might not be worth for you to come and see ONLY this museum. But the good thing is that, if you plan your trip, you have several spots to stop on your way here and after the museum. Doña Juana waterfall, coffee haciendas, a river which I don't know the name but is where La Piesdra escrita is located and you can dive in and take a break, etc.

A very nice place for historic learning. Do not go at noon. They close for one hour for lunch. Is .50¢ if you are under 11 years, and $1.00 adults. The tour can be done between 30 minute if you read what is inside.

This was a bonus stop for us, museum was only $1.5 per person so we walked through, it wasn't big but had artifacts and descriptions throughout about the Taino culture, there was also a petroglyph wall that had different symbols once used by the Taino. You won't be here long maybe 20 min stop, there was also a gift shop although we found it by chance after walking through the property (it's located in the long building at the end)

Unique Architecture Cemì stone idol shape! Dedicated to the Taìno Indian Culture contains Archeological Remains, Petroglifs, Artifacts and Taìno related items. Beautifully painted and maintained this gigantic stone idol structure with its museum inside is definitely a Must do when you visit Jayuya, at the enchanted island of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷❤

This is a small but evocative museum of Taino artifacts in a building constructed in the image of a Taino spirit. There was no power when I visited, but a flashlight was fine to see the objects, nicely arranged, and the visit is very much worthwhile to see evidence of a past culture destroyed by colonialization.

The museum, although small, is interesting! Shaped in the form of a "Cemí" (a taíno representation of their gods), it encloses a few artifacts plus pictures of the most important, and renowned petroglyphs found across the island. Don't overlook the burial tomb of an ancestral "Taíno" woman to the left of the entrance plus the three "bateyes" that surround the place! A must see if you ever wonder around these parts in the middle of the island!

It's a museum with Taino archaeological remains with a very interesting arquitecture shape of a Cemi; great for pictures. Sadly it was closed the day I visited. Still gave four stars cause it's great photo opportunities there and the view is just beautiful. It also has the Casa Canales museum in the premises which you can visit and learn a piece of historical events of PR.

When you are in the center of Puerto Rico on Jayuya is a great place to see the story of the Tainos. Good for education. Very clean in the middle of mountains.
