Address
Neighbourhood: Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

- Cuipy6 contributionsGreat experience! We really enjoyed our experience with Shimpei san and his team. He was welcoming and friendly, speaks English very well and was informative about the Samurai who’s armour was displayed. The airconditioning was highly appreciated with thos temperatures. I highly recommend going to see Shimpei and experiencing wearing Samurai armour. Thank you Shimpei!Thank you for a visit! A really good photograph came out. Thank you for coming to Japan! - AbhiLondon, United Kingdom157 contributionsYou must visit to feel like a real life SamuraiThis was a great place to wear the scared samurai armour, sensei Takemura else very knowledgeable and speaks very good English. I arrived and was greeted by him , I would suggest you confirm your date and time as I messed up but he was very understanding afterwards. The photographer was very professional who took my photos and sensei Takemura has been doing this for ten years and has a wealth of experience. The armour fit me very well but I am only 5 foot 5 inches and average build. The armour I picked was Yukimura Sanada and the sensei has all the experience to help you get the right poses and make the duration seem very easy. Sensei Takemura showed me the photos afterwards and even air dropped them to my IPHONE along with the SD card. I will return again when I visit Japan to try the different armour and try the poses with different armour. I feel even if you do not have experience in martial arts or anything then the sensei will guide you very easily through the day, The sensei is not just a man who works as an owner of his business but is also a teacher of Kendo and is 7th generation of a real Samurai lineage. Tom Cruise might have been in the movie The last Samurai but Sensei Takemura is a real life Samurai living in Neo TokyoThank you for a visit! Your armor was really coooool!! I was surprised by your knowledge of Japan! You probably know more about Japanese history than most Japanese people. You might want to wear black armor next time! This was such fun! Takemura was marvellous and entertaining too. The experience was fantastic and I had loads of photos in my shoot to take away. Takemura also took a few bonus pictures on my phone so I could send them immediately to my friends.

Have to say that this was more than just a photo shot experience. Takemura-san highlighted the history of each armour and the significance of the person wearing them in the context of Japanese history.
He then provides context of each weapon and how a samurai would use and when they would use it (handy while shots of you are taken while using the weapon).
Then there is Takemura-san himself, just a great guy! Fun, welcoming and has a really motivating voice so you always strike the right pose ^_^. Speaking of poses, you will be put through a number of original and classic poses that give you a glimpse of what it would be like to use one of these armour in the day.
I had a great time, thank you Takemura-san for the fun session and hopefully see you again but in the red armour this time around ^_^.
All the best.
Regards,
Max.

The samurai armor donning was a fun experience, Seeing yourself getting fully geared up is really fullfilling.
Takemura-san is a really engaging in the photo session, helping make me look heroic and epic!
Went with Masamune Date's armor because it looks so kakkoii! (Cool!)
Would definitely recommend anyone to give it a shot and feel how that armor is donned and how epic it looks.
I would update the post with photos, but i need to transfer
