While there's not much to the ruins of Casares Castle it is still worth a walk up to get great views of the town and surrounding area and to see some of the whitewashed homes and narrow alleyways. It's easy to find and be sure...More

Casares is one of the many "white towns" scattered around the Costa del Sol. It is one of the smaller ones but worth a visit for at least a morning or afternoon. The houses are all white and built into the side of the rocks....More

Take the same path up from the square as for the community hall and you will find the castle next to the converted church. Excellent views from the walls down and over Casares. Recommended. Allow an hour plus.

It is certainly a short but very steep climb up from the centre of the village but it is worth while making the effort. The castle is only a ruin but the views are excellent. There were plenty of birds of prey soaring both above...More
