When I was studying in middle school, my science textbook classified the phenomena so-called "pseudo volcanic": sulphurous volcanoes, geysers, mofettes. It also recalled the cold mud volcanoes, citing it as the most important in Italy the Aragona "maccalube" (Sicily) and the Nirano "salse".
