About
A wonderful route in less than 600 km, divided into 15 stages, in the National Park of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni. On The Silent Way you will cycle to enjoy time, to feel the environment sorrounding you with all your senses, and to finally realize that silence is not absence of sound, but quality of hearing.

Fantastic cycle trip
Oct 2017 • Couples
We've just completed a cycle trip along the La Via Silente and thoroughly enjoyed it. The route lives up to its name and along the way we continually noted how quiet it was - and beautiful.
We started the trip in Castelnuovo and we're met by the La Via Silente initiators who briefed us on the route. The maps and route were excellent although the signage was so good it was hardly necessary to consult a map. Luckily we only found out
well into the trip that the map also showed the daily trips elevations.
The tour was the usual luggage transport and moving from town to town tour organised by Genius Loci a very good local travel company. The bikes from Italy bike tours also organised via Genius Loci were excellent.
Many times we were the only tourists in town and the food and beer / wine at the end of day very good.
It's not a tour for the unfit though you don't need to be a road warrior. Just beware that this is a hilly area. The plus is there are many wonderful hilltop towns to pass through that are very tourist free. If you like cycling along empty back roads with beautiful scenery from mountains to sea - try this tour.
