Beautifully preserved cisterns. And a great place to go to escape the heat!! Something different to take the kids. Definitely worth a trip as part of the visit to Fermo.

I really loved them! Be sure you find somebody to explain you the working concept of those Cisterns to appreciate the engineering behind this structure. We had a very nice guide (for free) directly in the Cisterns available for being consulted by all the tourists. It is a very interesting visit also for young kids

A really astonishing piece of ancient engineering heritage that no visitor to Fermo should miss. Recommended even for young children. The departure point for visits is the tourist office in Piazza del Popolo.

Visited Fermo by car and wow parking was interesting. Made it to the tourist Centre and bought the tickets for five attractions. The Roman cisterns was really excellent and I am so pleased that we had a tour guide. The cisterns were extraordinary in their design and age. Loved the town and the cisterns. Really worth the effort.

You need a guide. The reservoirs are impressively large, in good condition but naturally damp. Not to be missed.

Below the streets of Fermo exists an amazing example of Roman engineering and their incredible ingenuity .... water was a top priority in any of the settlements they created and this is another example of how water from rain and natural springs was stored, filtered and then made available to the people. Very informative tour guide who made it all come alive. Highly recommended tour.

I highly recommend taking this tour and seeing how the Romans lived 2000 years ago. The tour guides are friendly and patient. They have English brochures to help while taking the tour. Extremely informative.

We took an afternoon tour with another couple. The tanks are an incredible example of the building skills present at the time of construction. The guide was very friendly, spoke excellent English and had a very high level of knowledge of history of both the tanks and the surrounding Fermo area. Would highly recommend.
