Lovely cable car trip up, great views from the top. Standing in snow on the top in late May.
Lovely coffee and apple strudel at the restaurant.

Great cable car ride to the top. excellent views and nice snow even at the end of summer. The restaurant at the top has good views and not too expensive. Recommended but does need good weather for the views.

I think this is a top 5 destinations among people visiting the Dolomites. We stayed in Corvara in Badia. We came around 10 pm. Still lucky to get a parking which is across the ticket office of the cable car. I did not want to wake up early to go up the mountains here because I am on vacation though many suggested to wake up early so you could still get a parking. Fortunately, in our 1 week stay in the Dolomites, there was only 1 place which we did not get to see which is the Lago di Braies. We were stopped to drive farther as we have not paid a toll entering the road leading to the lake. We did not know about this toll fee and we were willing to pay in card right there but the people there said that they do not receive cash and they do not have the card machine. The only way to pay is to download the app. Many cars have to turn around. I went to the website but there are 2 languages available on the app, Italian and German. Well, I guess it is a measure to reduce the number of people going to that famous lake.

Fortunately here, going up Sass Pordoi via the Passo Pordoi has no toll. One gets to pay the cable car fee anyway.

Up there, I could describe the place as being in the moon. It was rocks but they made a pathway that even people in wheelchairs could drive. I love it! It is inkluderende as we say in Norwegian. They made it accessible to all kinds of people, with good legs or if your are wheelchair bound.

They have a rifugio or a restaurant upstairs. Unfortunately, we just had our breakfast in the hotel so we were not hungry.

Be prepared that the weather is cooler up there. It was 9C but down the ticket office, you could easily just wear shorts and a t-shirt. We wore our hiking pants, had scarf, beanie, a sweater and of course, a windbreaker jacket. We also brought our hiking sticks. HIking sticks are so important for us now.

Gorgeous gorgeous place. Beautiful views all round the Sella Ronda but especially here. Passed through at least 3 times in variety of weather. Sunny days and snowy. The latter was great as Al the fair weather skiers stayed inside ! Might have to go back with more than one teenager !

Went with the wife for a hike and totally enjoyed it. We went in late october, it was a little bit chilly but not too cold, great sunny day for nice pictures. Only few merchants are open by the end of the season so you may want to call ahead of time and plan accordingly.

We were recently at the Pordoi Pass area for about an hour and while we didn't go up on the cable car we were able to have a good look over the surrounding area from the car and coach park.

Stunning views in several directions.

Well worth the drive up and over Sass Pordoi (as well as all the other passes in the Dolomites). Traveled in the off season so traffic was minimal. Roads are good.

Wow. Put your hiking shoes on take this tram up and down, 39 euro a person, but worth every penny. The views are heavenly and there's so much hiking to do at the top! Highly recommend. But bring a jacket because it's cold up there!
