We had a great time taking the steam engine, the railway construction was really an engineering marvel. One hand dug tunnel corkscrews 360 degrees down and out through the mountain. The ride was pleasant and we had packed our own drinks which was great. Having...More

We enjoyed the trip on the "Pigtail Railway". It was "Time Travels" weekend, so costumed staff entertained the travelers (unfortunately, only in German). The train and small museum were very well maintained. Scenery was good, but not spectacular.

This is a beautiful ride through the valleys of the BW area, we took plenty of great photographs of the bridges and the surrounding area, highly recommended for everyone who loves a bit of a train ride the old-fashioned way, with the locomotive steaming ahead.

The station staff were friendly and helpful speaking enough English to assist my poor German! I didn't like having an allocated seat but in reality the train was full so people spread out. The train was warm and clean inside but the outside and windows...More
