We attended an efficient and moving production of Music and the Spoken Word in July. Our first visit to the Center. The event worked well. The Center needs better signage to guide visitors from the car park elevators to the auditorium. Several groups spent a few minutes wandering around the Center trying to enter the auditorium. Once inside, there are volunteers to help.

Every Sunday morning you can go and watch the Tabernacle Choir present " Music and The Spoken Word" live. It is for all faiths and is an inspiring performance.

This is a beautiful building, but not right now. It is covered in screening and scaffolding. There is limited access.

We received a very thorough tour which lasted more than 2 hours. The auditorium is just amazing, seating for 20.000+ persons! The paintings throughout the building were beatiful as well as the stories behind those. The roof terrace and gardens are unbelievable. The conference center is a must see while in SLC, just a stunning place!

I had no idea what this building was all about so we stumbled across it and I’m so glad we did. We were wanting to just go to the roof and had no idea the interior would be as interesting as it was. The auditorium is a sight to behold. The art work scattered throughout the building is beautiful. There is a model of the temple so you can see the layout which was also very interesting. Sisters are available throughout the building to patiently answer all your questions. So glad we stopped in.

We went to a noontime concert at the magnificent organ. The organist did 5 or 6 pieces, explaining them to us beforehand. When performing them - there were beautiful lights of different colors to accompany the music for ambiance. It was fantastic!

We visited the Temple Square and attended an organ recital.....all I can say is WOW! There are only 6 people in the world who can play the nearly 12,000 pipe organ and our performance was spectacular! If you only do one thing in SLC, this would be it!
During our walking about the grounds, we saw many missionaries who were there to answer questions. They were all very nice and we enjoyed talking with them.

Not a member of the LDS church but thought we'd check it out anyways.. if nothing else we were excited for the AC.. Enjoyed the art, nice missionaries that approached us.. and the view was great from the rooftop garden.

Someone posted "Be sure to have lunch at the LDS resaurant one block away". Can anyone tell me the name of that restaurant please?

The Lion House. There are also 2 restaurants in the Joseph Smith Building - 15 E South Temple - One on top that is nicer and pricier, but has great views of temple square - and a deli on the first floor. The Lion House is located at 63 East South Temple, opens at 9 am.

I did not use the parking garage. I can recommend using the rail system to get around. I used to and from the airport in Salt Lake City. Clear and concise markings for where one would want to get on and off the train.

We enjoy both Temple Square and the conference center. If you get to the conference center early (around 8:15 or 8:30 am, I think) on Sunday morning, you can sit through the Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcast of "Music and the Spoken Word." Even those who aren't LDS can appreciate the beautiful music and talent of the artists. We went last Sunday for the first time ever and thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat through the run-through, rehearsal, and then the live broadcast. Very much worth the time.
Temple Square isn't "boring," in my opinion, as there is a lot of history there and a lot of displays and things to see. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful. We always enjoy stopping there.
