    Excellent family time
Grandkids were not only entertained but also educated by Kelley on what they kids had found in the sluicing. No pressure sales either. Kids are looking forward to next trip to Pigeon Forge and the Gem Mine

    Great! Definitely recommend!
Kelly, was super helpful with identifying our gems! She was great with the kids. Would definitely recommend! We got the $65 bucket and had a huge bag of beautiful gems including all but 1 of the 13 main hard gems!

Great gem mine in Pigeon Forge- so many gems per bucket!
This is a great place to go on a rainy day. They have a covered sifting area, loads of different priced buckets to choose from, and you get a ton of gems and fossils even in the cheapest priced bucket. It was also great to go inside and have them identify your gems- you can even have them cut and polished, and made into jewelry. This was a really fun activity for kids and adults.

Surprisingly More Fun Than We Expected
The kids were surprised at how much fun it was. We purchased the $100 five gallon gem bucket. They found tons of gems, including rare gems like rubies. We were able to take a few if the gems they found and have them made into a ring for my wife, for an extra charge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They went through my kids gems and told them what each one was. Will return next time.

    Lots of fun
My grand kids really love gem mines!! My boys had the fossil & gems but mostly found gems but they wanted more fossils. If you have more kids in one bucket, make sure they get same amount of scoops, the slower kids got way less stuff. The gift shop was nice & had lots of reasonably priced souvenirs.

    Great Gem Mine! Would return!
This was a great gem mine! There are a ton of bucket options ranging from $35 up to over $1000! They are very clear on what is included and after you discover your gems there are staff on hand to let you know what everything on. There is also an extensive gift shop inside. Tip- they have a geode cracker inside included with purchase of a geode. This is very convenient because cracking those at home can be a pain! There is parking on site, and plenty of room to sit and mine your gems in the water wash.

    Break out your wallet
$35 for a bucket of sand netting you about a ziplock bag worth of stones. The kids had fun, and we got some pretty pieces, but it was expensive. Not sure how someone can buy the $1500 55 gallon drum.
Thank you for your positive review! We're glad to hear that the kids had a fun time and you found some pretty pieces. We understand your concern about pricing, and we appreciate your feedback. We're always looking for ways to enhance our offerings, and we hope to provide even more value on our authentic gems on your next visit.

The $100 bucket gave us tons of stones. Both large and small. Go to the counter in the store and have one of your stones turned into jewelry. Great for kids!!

The staff there was super helpful and friendly! The women inside the store were very knowledgeable about the gemstones, too. The mining was a great outside experience with a lot of stations so we didn't feel crowded even though it wasn't super busy anyway. We even brought our dog, Bodhi. He enjoyed the people watching and the attention he got from the workers. We would highly recommend for anyone who visits.

Disappointed to find the rocks you do find are seeded in a bucket of sand box dirt. The stones are all bought at Gem shows and all come from Europe. Not even stones from near by mines. The gift shop was interesting and fun,
