The theater is beautiful and worth seeing in and of itself, but you also learn a lot about Costa Rica during the tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. The highlight of our visit to San Jose.

Well worth a visit to see the ornate theatre’s balconies and decoration, the grand hall upstairs and the presidents box. The painting on the ceiling in the hall has its own story and worth seeing. There is a cafe too for a break in the...More

I wish I would have had time to watch a play or other event here. Simply walking through the lobby was delightful...the architecture and art are both worth taking the time to see!

The outside of the building is beautiful but nothing to see inside. Restaurant inside is really expensive and doesn't have typical food

I did try and answer this question, but it looks like it didn't register. The best place to get the performance schdule would have been directly from the Theatre web site anyway. Apologies for the delay.
