Great place to visit. Arrive by boat. Wet landing. Fascinating walk through the jungle to the research station. Guide was superb. Saw lots of wildlife. Recommend for anyone who likes a bit of an adventure

We ended here for lunch after a guided hike through the jungle that morning. This was a gourmet lunch with a diverse array of local fruit, fantastic chicken burritos AND tamales cooked in banana leaves. Some of the best food, not just Costa Rican food,...More

You will pay a lot of money (around 250$) and will experience a military barrack service: queues for poor dinner until the kitchen opens (once you finish dinner, separate on your own the dishes and the litter with established order), dirty communal bathrooms, and rude...More

We spent two nights and very much enjoyed it. We went for the hiking and wildlife and I was concerned about giving up all my creature comforts, but I actually really enjoyed being at Sirena Station. The most remarkable thing is the food. It is...More
