We went from La Fortuna to Montverde. The boat ride is fun and the lake is nice. The views of the Mountains are incredible. We then took a van trough some bad roads. A bit scary but quite an adventure!

We traveled across the lake on a water taxi from La Fortuna to Monteverde and it was exquisite. Incredible views of the volcanos and some impressive properties along the lake, birds free-riding on the boat, and relaxation in the air!

Lake Arenal with the mountain in the background is absolutely picture perfect. If you are in the La Fortuna area, don't pass up the opportunity to drive around the lake. The scenery is spectacular.

Sorry can’t help you. It wasn’t breezy when we visited, but in reality that single observation doesn’t mean much.
