This is a nice walk around piece of history. There is plenty of room to walk and rest and learn. There is a video which explains the history. The scenery is also beautiful.

really enjoyed seeing this site. Loved the theater and learning all about Herod in the movie they showed prior to us going around with our tour group. I love that they still use the theater for events today. It was a busy place but spread...More

During our week-long visit to the nation, this site fit in well to better understand the ancient country now known as Israel. Our guide did a nice job of developing a time-line of history from Phoenician times through Judean and Roman occupation - then fast...More

This was the first stop on our tour of the Holy Land. As such it became the standard by which I compared the many, many other places we visited. Though many other tour groups were there, in addition to our 3 bus loads, it was...More

Worth the stop. The size, scale, and splendor of the ruins was breathtaking. You could almost “see” people living there. Well marked with explanations and plaques. Tips – Where a hat. Intense sun and hot. Roman aqueducts are a very short drive away running along...More

King Herod had amazing vision in building this place as the capital of his Roman Judean empire. Built by the Mediterranean, it has a somewhat holiday vibe to it. A must see!

Fascinating place with a brilliant amphitheatre (which you can still see concerts in). Really enjoyed the history, with plenty of information in English and Hebrew.

Caesarea National Park is a gem. A wonderful archeological site. It can easily be visited with young children and this is a great advantage. Dont miss this.

If you haven’t visited the park recently, you’ll be amazed how much work has been done here. Besides the many new archeological sites, there has been a major improvement in the access. Well worth visiting.

You don't need to order the combo ticket in advance. Buy it at the first park you visit. As I recall it must be used within two weeks which didn't do us much good since our trip was three weeks. You will save some money... More
