If your Spanish is really good and you have an intense interest in the early history of the Canal construction, then this a great museum for you. But if those two conditions don't apply, you are better off going straight to the Miraflores Visitor Center by the Canal. This one

We enjoyed this Museum even as English speakers. The first floor offered English information and the upper floors were in Spanish only for the most part. As we were in a Spanish speaking country I appreciated what was offered in English. Thank you!

The only information in English was for the new section of the canal. The early history was only in Spanish. Disappointed

The museum was well put together and interesting as far as I could understand. There was limited English translation, which was a big negative. I would have loved more. Mostly just Spanish.
